The policy details are increased at this level. The abstract requirements are transformed more closely to the actual management model and the entities are bound to the existing environment. A template is used to achieve this step. The template consists of the core attributes of a policy described in subsection . The refinement work can be summarised as follows: desired system behaviour describing invariants gets translated into management activities; triggering events and the subject are named; constraints are developed, which must be fulfilled before an action is initiated; the modality (obligation^2.3/authorisation) of the policy is chosen.
