Service instrumentation

The modeling process would be most easy if the modeled objects provided appropriate instrumentation by themselves. The problem is that--although CIM and other information models theoretically have appropriate description mechanisms--none of today's applications is able to provide this kind of information at an acceptable granularity. Most do not even allow to be queried for any dependency information at all.
